May

Geez, it's already the 14th? Crap...

Anywho I have a double feature for you guys! Yeah!

Flight of a Slime - Release: May
If you have been following my blog, you would have most likely saw the "Slime game" posts. Yep, it's called Flight of a Slime! Anywho, I did a massive amount of work on it last week and it's almost done! All that's left is to add instructions and the music (by Maxero Music of course!) So yeah...

Wut? -  Release: Later May/June
I'm actually making Wut? Wut is this madness? Why am I using Wut instead of what? Anyway, if you don't know, I actually tried to make Wut? before, it just didn't work out too well. (Link to the post where I first/last mentioned Wut?) Now I kinda want to work on it again. I still don't know if i'm 100% going to make it, but it's worth mentioning...

So yeah, that's what I'll be doing in May. See ya,

~Yukon

[ ] published! ([Bracket, space, bracket] on Newgrounds!)

Hey guys,
[ ] is live on Newgrounds! Ya! I hope you guys like it!

Play it on Newgrounds (Don't forget to rate it on the Ludum Dare website!)

Ludum Dare Notes:
This being my first and all Ludum Dares, I have to admit, it was pretty damn fun! I had a blast, but I do have some regrets. I wanted to add a form of music, but as we all know, I am NOT musically talented, (cough, cough, ARS#5 soundtrack, cough) although I did try to do something. I spend a good 2 hours stitching together samples until I gave up. Making music is hard. Thank god my friend Max (Maxero Music) is helping me out with the soundtracks for my games. Thanks Max! I did feel I did a few good things came out of my time and effort. The game is simple and somewhat fun! I really like how I did the graphics, and it was a great learning experience. (The most used sentence in game design history.) Anyway, that's it for now,
See ya!

Ludum Dare 26 done!

Hey guys, I finished my game for Ludum Dare! Yaa! Here's the link to the compo page:

Anyway, you may have noticed I haven't published the game to Newgrounds yet. I'm going to wait till after the compo to update the game before publishing. This means that the game will hopefully get a soundtrack and I will fix any bugs that are found before launch. So yeah,
See ya!

[ ] progress report #1

Oh, hey, I didn't see you there! Anyway, this is the progress report for the first day in the Ludum Dare compo! Ya! This time, i'm making a game called "[ ]", yes you read it correctly. Bracket, space, bracket. It's a twin-stick arcade shooter based around two brackets that shoot stuff. All the numbers in the image above are HP, or Health points, which respond to the player/enemy they are on. The player is the two large, black, brackets while the enemies are the squares. You will be playing for a high score using the points you get by killing various enemies. It's a little difficult to explain, so let's just get to the progress;
-Created player
-Created 3 Enemies
-Created Backgrounds/Foreground
-Created Title
-Created Score System

Things needed to be added during Ludum Dare;
-More enemies
-Game Over screen
-Power-ups
-A Potato

and optional stuff;
-Newgrounds Medals
-Newgrounds Leaderboards

I may also enter this game in the 2013 Stencyl Game Jam, just for fun! Oh, and this game will also be my One Game a Month entry for April. Don't worry, that slime game is still going to be finished! It's going to be my May entry, so I can start early on this idea I had for an arcade game. So yeah, I'm going to get some sleep now,

See ya!

Ludum Dare 26
